So, as things are constantly changing in the world of adoption, one little thing changed that I'm not too thrilled about. Holt has decided to move away from giving out numbers for where you are on the waitlist. So since we've been on the waitlist, we haven't had any new number updates, nothing. Alight, not a biggie...it's just up to us to guess now. There are a few places where we get our info, one is a yahoo group for Holt Ethiopia's families, and the other is Holt's Ethiopia program blog where they post how many referrals went out at the end of each month. Remember we started at number 62 at the beginning of January...now halfway through February there have already been 23 (with at least one sibling group) referrals sent out: 13 in January, and 10 so far in February. Meaning that we are likely number 40 or somewhere around there!!! If things keep moving this quickly we could be looking at June or July for our referral (we're not holding our breath though, things change so often)! Now Holt is just telling everyone that they are matching families who turned their dossiers in during September, and we turned ours in at the beginning of January. Here's to a quick wait!!!

We are right behind you. We turned in our dossier at the end of January! So happy about the recent referrals! We just heard yesterday that our dossier made it to Ethiopia!
Was just telling dad today, so excited to get a sweet brown eyed baby!!
